Between the Chairs -- A Rubinshteinic Poem
Updated: Oct 10
(This is the background music used for this song, which is not mine, along with the credits)
Some people, worldwide, are just too unfit for society..
Some will be unemployed, others witness the hypocrisy of the "community"..
We claim to be free, yet are enslaved by external thought.
And often only some peace from it can be bought!
Hence why I choose hermitage, I kid you not,
Because I'm more solo, than social.
I despise the social, not the solo.
Some people, worldwide, are just too unfit for society..
They are being condemned, condemned from being far from normality..
Even democracy is not always the place for the inheritably eccentric.
You'll be rejected, after no more than one blink!
And all of this, can make you stop and think,
"Should I prefer to live, more alone,
Where much more peace, might be shown?"
Between, the chairs, between them many live,
Like shadows, in the underbelly of those who leave,
By desire, by force, perhaps a mixture of both,
Some are lovely, some are subjects to loath,
Some are too small, too wide or just unfit for the road!
Of life's race that stretches far and above.
And some can't make the -
Desire, the fire, the model to admire, the example to be able to inspire, the ability to lift a company far and higher, the ability to obey like a loyal squire, to date, to sex, to bring the world happy kids and provide whatever they would ever desire and need!
I just guess some of us are too dysfunctional to be orthodoxically accepted, necessarily.
(Short Pause)
Some people, worldwide, are just too between the chairs for society!
Some are too strange, too unfit to be tolerated for their individuality!
And all I want, is just to be free,
To preserve for the rest of my days, a strong sense of serenity!
But I guess I'll just try to make you understand,
That I'll remain a loner, not a follower,
In a construct built on, stress and conformity.
